The first branch for what the company uses RemOnline is for the workshop. Whenever the techs receive a work order, they go into RemOnline. They just type a VIN number and get all the information about the car from the vehicle database that was uploaded for them before. So the technicians don't have to type more information like plate number or anything else.
Next, they select what they will do to a car from a preset service list without doing a double entry in forms for commission calculations because, with RemOnline, it's built-in. Finally, they close the job and accept the payment, and that's it.

Another feature Mr. Rivera likes in RemOnline is automatic alerts for corporate rental customers sent when a work order is updated to a particular status. RemOnline also allows customizing the message template and setting up the customer’s preferred communication channel.
Our previous software didn't have any way to let the customer know their vehicle is ready. We had to email the customer manually when the job was done. With RemOnline, I don't have to send anything because it was pre-selected that the system sends a message whenever the car is ready.

Simplified Communication Between the Fleet and Claims Departments
The next business area RemOnline is in is claims management. The company has a large parking lot with the cars involved in a crash waiting for repair or an insurance company inspection. Previously, the claims department had to run all the processes alone, without the fleet department being involved. The fleet managers weren't on the same page with them and had to go to the car and call a representative to see the car's status.
So what we did is we included that information in RemOnline. Whenever fleet managers need an update on what step that car is in, they can just go into RemOnline, click on that car, and know exactly where it is and in what status. It's now easier for both sides to have the most updated information.

Quick Invoicing of Specific Jobs
Some repair jobs can take longer than expected and require additional actions, for instance, when a car has an animal stuck in the air vents. To remove it, technicians usually spend a whole day stripping everything off to get into the middle of the event. Moreover, it's a very complicated thing to explain to a customer when issuing an invoice. But RemOnline’s work order functionality helps the team overcome this challenge.
In RemOnline, we take pictures, add comments, and add those pictures to the comments. So this kind of report for specific jobs helped us a lot to get the invoice paid. It's not the same as telling the customer that there was a lot in there instead of having a report with pictures of what was happening.
