RemOnline Work Orders: Push Notifications in the Mobile App
We're excited to share that the Work Orders App now supports push notifications! This means you can stay updated more conveniently, ensuring your employees won't miss any vital information either.
What are the advantages of push notifications in the mobile app? The answer is simple. You don't need any integrations, won't lose these notifications in your email inbox, and can track a 7-day history of notifications right within the app where you manage your work orders and tasks.
Currently, you can set up push notifications for seven events:
- A new task has been assigned to you.
- Your task has been modified.
- A new work order where you were assigned as a manager or technician has been created.
- Appointment time in your work order has been changed.
- Work order status has been updated.
- A new comment has been added to your task or work order.
- Taask is overdue.
We plan to expand the list of available push notifications. In the meantime, we'd love to hear from you about the events you'd like to receive notifications for in the mobile app.
In addition to push notifications, you can track your notifications in the app on the new screen called "Notifications" (surprise, surprise!). Here, you can swipe left on a notification to delete it manually. After 7 days, notifications will be deleted automatically as well.
To configure push notifications, go to Settings. Here, you can enable or disable all notifications at once using the "Push notifications" toggle. When enabled, you can customize notifications for each event.
As mentioned, we're working on expanding the list of events for push notifications and look forward to your input. Please note that by the end of January, this feature in the mobile app will have completely replaced the RemOnline bot in Telegram messenger. On February 1st, 2024, this bot will be removed.
We'd love to hear your thoughts on this update, as well as any suggestions and questions about RemOnline work. Feel free to leave your comments below the article or contact our Support team via chat.
